A hidden gem in North Wales gets a signature look

The Cross Foxes sits on the foothills of the Cadair Irdis mountain range in Snowdonia, North Wales. The wild dramatic landscape became our source of inspiration for the interiors and branding for this unique five star Bar, Grill and Rooms. 

Six luxury bespoke bedrooms with en suites feature colours taken from the mountain range landscape; each designed to represent a different part of Cadair Idris. The two larger suites are named Cadair and Idris. Both suites feature locally sourced antique pine furniture, exposed beams and stone walls. To soften the rooms we designed a bespoke knitted pieces of art from wool spun in the nearby town of Dolgellau. The other rooms were named after the peaks Cyfrwy and Moel, and lakes Cau and Arron. Features include; bespoke embroidered headboards designed with the mountain rage in mind and minimalist black and white photography commissioned to add a touch of depth.

All bathrooms, bar and restaurant feature slate – this beautiful natural material is in abundance in the area and gives our concept a true sense of place.

We also gave the branding a sense of place by using the ridge of the mountain range as an identity. We think the strap line says it all  – A Breath of Fresh Air.
